THE LITERARY AGENTS As we all know, not all books make it to the shelves and not all books go on to become best sellers and writers need to be aware of that from the outset. However, we at Prizeman Kinsella believe that if there is a probability that your manuscript could be published by a reputable publishing house, then we will put every effort into getting the best deal possible for you, the author. As your agents we will charge an initial 10 per cent fee on any publishing deals made on your behalf within the Republic of Ireland and 10 per cent on all book sales thereafter. On deals and sales outside of the Republic of Ireland we will charge a set fee of 20 per cent on all signed agreements and sales thereafter. Other rates apply for film/play/documentary contracts etc. Therefore, as your agent, we want the best deal possible. And we are focussed on giving our authors the success they deserve for the work they have done. We will be there whenever you need us for advice and support. Unfortunately, we cannot accept all works sent to us for assessment and, as literary agents, we can only take on a limited amount of authors whose work appeals to us, so that we can give each and every one of our clients the time and support they need to get the best from their publications.
